Contacts in a sequence

Is there a way for me to check if a contact's phone number is active within any of our sequences without going through all sequences?

I know I am able to list sequences, list sequence contacts with status active, then iterate through to match against the contact object/phone-- but is there a way to see just from the contact object if it is currently in a sequence so I do not have to do full searches through all my existing sequences?
