Connect and manage apps
Connect accounts from the Auth library, then test, reconnect, rename, or delete them.
Before a Workflow App can run in a workflow, someone in your organization connects an account for it. Connections are org-wide: once connected, any workflow in the organization can use that account (subject to your Whippy permissions).
Open Auth
- In Whippy, go to Workflows.
- In the Workflows sidebar, select Auth, or open app.whippy.co/workflows/auth.
The Auth page has two tabs:
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Connections | Accounts you've already connected. Subtitle: "Test, reconnect, rename, or delete accounts in this organization." |
| Library | Catalog of Workflow Apps you can connect. Subtitle: "Connect an app to use it in workflows." |
Not the same as Settings → IntegrationsWorkflows → Auth is for Workflow Apps (builder steps). Settings → Integrations is for native ATS/CRM sync. Use Auth when you're wiring apps into workflows.
Connect an app from the Library
- Open the Library tab.
- Search for the app if you need to narrow the list.
- Select Connect on the app card.
- Complete the sign-in or API-key form the app shows (OAuth popup, API key, or custom fields, depending on the app).
- When it succeeds, Whippy switches you back to Connections with the new account listed.
If the app is already connected, the card shows a Connected badge. Select it to jump to Connections filtered to that app, instead of starting a second OAuth flow by accident.
If Connections is empty, use Browse library to open the Library tab.
Manage a connection
On the Connections tab, each row is one connected account. Open the row menu for:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Test | Checks that the credentials still work with the app. |
| Reconnect | Runs the app's connect flow again (OAuth or custom form) and updates the same connection. Use this when a token expired or the app's auth fields changed. |
| Rename | Changes the display name so you can tell accounts apart (for example, "Prod Slack" vs "Sandbox Slack"). |
| Delete | Removes the connection from the organization. Workflows that still point at it will fail until you pick another account. |
You can search connections and filter them by app. Focusing an app from the Library also filters this list to that app.
Where connections show up next
The same connections appear when you configure an App step in the workflow builder. You pick the app, the action, and which connection to use. See Use apps in workflows.
